This animated video tells the story of Bakelite and its inventor, Leo Baekeland. The video was produced in 2014 as a part of a collaboration between CHF and students in John Serpentelli's Commercial Animation class at Philadelphia's University of the Arts.


The Serpentelli brothers have developed a unique form of storytelling which combines authentic audio from real people with a compelling use of animated visuals.
They have been commissioned by HBO Family to create 21 shorts films in this style as well as several films for Nick Jr. The overall impact leaves the viewers with a sense of knowing the person being interviewed while being given an insight into their internal world.
